  • Inyo Trails Bill signed into law

Anyone on top of this? I received this information in a newsletter from my State Assembly woman Connie Conway:

    legislative update

Inyo Trails Bill Signed into Law

Inyo County tourism will receive a much-needed boost under legislation signed this month by Governor Jerry Brown. I authored this new law, Assembly Bill 628, which creates a pilot project in Inyo County to connect existing trails designated for off-road vehicle use. The measure takes effect January 1, 2012.

Inyo County's economy relies upon the tourists who travel to the Eastern Sierra for the countless outdoor activities the area has to offer. Designating these trails will help encourage more visitors to enjoy Inyo County's natural wonder and protect these precious lands for generations to come. I thank the Governor for understanding how important this legislation is for the economy of our rural community.

Governor Brown approved the bill on October 7. Here is a link to the text of the bill:

As usual, reading government legal speak gives me a headache but it looks like this might be a good thing. Be nice to see something like that for SBNF.
