The draft environmental impact statement and draft forest land
management plans for the four southern California Forests are
expected to be released in late April/early May. There will be a
90-day public comment period following release of the drafts. Each of
the southern California National Forests will host open houses in
communities near the forests to acquaint people with the documents
and provide information about the comment process. More information
about the release of the drafts, and a schedule of open houses, will
be on their website and in the next Forest Plan Revision Update due
out in early March. Stay Tuned!
