not sure if this is the right forum, but for those of you wishing to camp in the Mojave Preserve check out
www.mojavedesertoutpost.com
This is 120 acre site where the Mojave Road crosses Landfair Road, so it is a great spot to camp if you are running the Mojave Road of just exploring the area. They have set up toilets, picnic tables, fire rings etc. The land is privately owned by some friends of mine, and is opperated with the appropriate government permissions. If you have run the Mojave Road lately, this is where the monument to the Nevada Southern Railway is now located!
Prices will be very reasonable. You need to make reservations as some dates are filling up at this time.
One of the owners happens to a Jeep guy....a nice XJ on coilovers built for Jeepspeed. Tell'them you heard about them on MJR....we might even be able to get a discount for MJR people (if Sarah is cool with that)!
