Email sent. I liked the simplicity of that process.

I'm glad this one got repealed.

The L.A. Times article was about as balanced as I think we can hope to see from them.

We already have laws that revolve around vandalism, disturbing the peace, terrorizing/intimitating residents and destroying public property.

Charging people $155 to assemble is just a way to keep people from using public lands in San Bernardino. That it was being levied on people who want to ride on their own private lands simply seemed un-American.

I think that residents who live in the area should be protected from harrassment and intimidation by those who are breaking the law, but charging the law abiding citizens to legally use those lands and have respect for the residents is just not right.

Maybe an "OHV Host Program" like the one in San Bernardino National Forest could help law enforcement have more "eyes and ears" on lands that fall under BLM control.

So this time, we can chalk one up for the good guys!

                            i am lost

                            hello everyone,

this is my first time posting, and have only been on the site a few days, so please go easy on me.

I followed the link (http://vote29.com/newmyblog?page_id=851) and did not see anything about a San Bernardino OHV ordinance.

Could someone please shed some light on this for me?

Darin, the efforts were successful; the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors repealed the ordinance on March 24.
