  • 2009 California Campfire Permits are available online

    The permit is valid statewide on National Forests, BLM land etc.

    I don't think you should post the direct link to the PDF, the 4 question test is useful for training purposes, don't you think?

      ????? The USFS has a direct link to the PDF.

        Oh! my bad. I thought that link didn't appear until after I passed the quiz. I guess I shoulda scrolled down a little further :-)

            Bear in mind that anyone using an underhood welder MUST have one of these in their possession

              This is great! I printed mine! I didn't mind the test. It's good to be reminded of fire safety. I passed with an"A".

                    If you look, you cna cheat and go directly to the pdf from the website, so what difference does it make. All you need is the permit, not the test.

                      Im sorry your right.I know that fire safety is important and that some are not used to forest rules.Grew up in Ore. and if I played in fire, Dad would use same stick me.

                            I just talked to a woman at the discovery center that said that it is impossible to print one out from the internet. She also said it is not valid unless it is signed by them and they have a copy of it on file. Is this correct?

                              She is incorrect. It is a statewide permit, though not all agencies and departments offer it online. In fact, only two do that I am aware of.
