Lytle Creek DOES have a designated shooting area where pavement ends on the right side of the road. Beyond that NO shooting. Except for the few knuckle heads that don't heed signs, not like when I used to go shooting years ago which was a chaotic shooting gallery. Where dirt starts 3no6, 3no6a (cold water cyn.), 3no6b our (ROC) adopted trails is just the ticket for the newbie/novice. Also the 1n34 (San savaine) trail was just opened last year for us to start work, fire/storm damage, after being closed for several years. Which by the way is co-adopted with Scouts West. So, all in all shooting and wheeling in one area.

I have a paragraph in my training syllabus for the OHV Rules & Regulations class that talks about the legal shooting areas in the SBNF. I've purged my laptop preparatory to turning it in - but I can pull it off the backup CD tonight and will post.Jeff

Thanks Jeff,
Hey man, I was in your neighborhood today! I had a meeting at Los Angeles Air Force Base. It was not a bad trip down from the desert to El Segundo.. We caught the traffic just right. It was a miracle.SBCO Fire Dept. CERT volunteer
