Street maps and Topo maps for GPS

I'm thinking of mounting a GPS unit somwhere near the dash board. Anyone have an idea on a good low budget GPS unit that has both Street maps and live updates, and also has Topo maps for off road driving. I like the big 5" screens so I don't have to put glasses on to read it.

I've used my iphone for geocacheing, works great. It's just to hard having to read while driving. Might be easier for someoine that didn't have to put on reading glasses everytime

Not sure you will find what you want on a "Low Budget"
