I'm always looking for better satellite imagery. Well the maping on this is done by aircraft. This a lot better then Google earth. If you backpack this certainly puts you a lot closer to what your going to get into. But the good imagery is only for US.

Use the USDA NAIP USGS maps. You can also import .kmz files. In the folder there is a demo folder. Click on the KMZ importer and you will get a new UI with file download for .kmz

great news! can you post some pictures of the new imagry? I gave up on WW since I the satilite imagery plug-in was no longer supported and the KML importer didnt work. looks like its a great program now!
