Yeah, Don was driving. Finally got the old Jimmy 6 up to 300. It used it all up too. We were running on 85% Nitro and on the 2 pass (record run) it lost the number 4 cylinder. Burnt the piston to the ring gland and melted the head off the exhaust valve. With all that it still ran 300.4xx.

Not a new club at all Don is just the newest member. There arent as many three club members as there are two club members.

The team has been trying to get into the three club for YEARS. So we are thrilled to finally get there.

Its not toast. We'll rebuild the head, stick a new piston in the hole and put it on the dyno. She'll live another year. There is so much prep that goes into these engines that they would need to have a window in the side to be junk.

Kewl! I know from experience (at slower speeds than 300 MPH) that a piston/rod coming apart at speed can SUCK! Or make windows, like you said
