we do a lot of pot lucks when we camp out, I have to concur on the beans, I usually make a pot of baked beans though, and Carne seems to be a camp favorite also.
but I can make a mean irish stew in my dutch oven, and that is always a winner.

Nothin like hot dogs roasted with a coat hanger over the open fire. Best camp food ever. As for drinks we take LOTS of water, soda, and beer. always have to have some chips and snacks. OATMEAL CREAM PIES are a must. Last time we went out we had fajitas and that was bomb!

We take the dutch oven now, and make my favorite ... SPAGHETTI!! Takes a little over an hour to prepare and cook.

On the rubicon, we took canned chicken and those noodle packets from Liption - alfredo, mac & cheese, etc ... it was way quick and easy to cook. I'd say less than 1/2 hour.

If we're closer to home and/or have the truck, we take the Road Trip Grill, and can practically cook anything, including big fat steaks, but it's not a space saver by any means.

I guess it just depends on what we're doing and where we're going. It's nice to have a choice!

I like to take my little grill, perfect for camping! steaks and or hamburgers, ribs, chops, bags of salad and some good garlic bread, mmmmmmmm sandwich stuff for lunches with chips, hot dogs are great, cut all your stuff for taco's and all you have to do is cook the meat and warm your tor tea's Tupperware works wonders!

Cedder Smokey's lol, we take pizza mix too and put it between to pieces of bread and put it in the pie maker thing, works great for homemade pies grilled cheese and making litle pizza in the fire, but if we take the camp stove we'll pretty much cook anything and everything
