That looks really nice! What was your technique? Are you an artist or do you have really cool plugins?

I guess you could call me an artist because I did it manually, and it took about 5 hours to complete from start to finish with minor breaks for food and stuff. Basically, all I do is select one part at a time on a new layer in photoshop with the polygonal lasso tool, then I color it the darkest color to get the shadows. After that I just deselect the parts that I want to be the darkest, and gradually get lighter and lighter from there untill I get to the highlight. After all the coloring is done, I just go over it with the dodge and burn tools to create high and low points in the picture to add depth. And rubigirl, I'll get to work on it soon! It shouldn't take too long! Thanks again guys!

Sweet! Nice job, you have a good eye. How many layers did you end up with?
(and I meant are you an artist by profession...hehe)

Oh, haha! No I'm still in High School, but I only ended up with 3 layers. 1 was the background, which was the original picture, the top layer was the color, and the middle layer for any spots I missed or where it didn't fill in right.

Here's the Red Jeep Rubigirl! Hope you like it!

I selected the body and made it, it's own layer then played with Hue/Saturation to get different colors.

                        More fun with Photoshop.

I can try to make one with square headlights. If I can find the right picture, or if you already have one I can start on it. It's really not a problem, but I'm gonna be short on time within the next few weeks, and I'm gonna be gone for a week a the begining of April, but I'll let you know if I can do it or not! Thanks again guys!
