considering that Warn is $900+ brand new, I would say it is. and kevlar rope, which im imagining is synthetic is pretty expensive in it self. Just make sure it hasent been used all to hell and the gears are still OK.

Not suprised you spotted that. Tax check come in ? Mine did. My wifes' gonna' kill me too. Anyway I had a long conversation with the guy, real cool dude. Told me he might have a hydraulic winch coming up soon. I guess it ties in to your power steering pump. I wonder if thats too much for it to handle.

drawback of hydraulic winch is your motor has to be running. Kill the motor crossing a stream and you cant pull yourself out.

drawback of an electric winch is if you get yourself stuck down a 50' ravine it will burn out before you can pull yourself up.
