            good guess on the freeze plug

            too bad its wrong

            it's the fill plug for a Dana 44.... from the inside of the diff cover.

                      almost looks like a bearing cap, except for the grooves/threading by the edge.

                        You never know until you try! Even I might know or not know what it is. I have to agree it looks a belt pulley or even a housing of some kind.
