After a very long break at work, we began training again this week. Monday we pick up our first of seven back to back battalions.

      Back to the grind...

I wanna take the wife on an Alaskan Cruise for our 5th Anniversary... I hear they're great.

OK, Mr. Punctuality checking in :-D

Finally got the pics resized and uploaded... they're a bit out of order for some reason (my camera likes to do that).

Erin, Erin's parents and I went on the 4 night cruise to San Diego, Catalina, and Ensenada just for sh!ts & giggles. It was her parents' first cruise ever, so they were pretty excited. I did take the tour of the USS Midway, but didn't take many interior pics since most of the ship was quite dark. the tour guide said that the most common injury to the sick bay (when the ship was in service) was head lacerations- lots of the walkways had less than 6 feet of headroom, so you had to walk slightly stooped or crack your head on some plumbing or a bulkhead

anyways, on to the main event:

              San Pedro at night

              Fire boat

SD Maritime museum- Star of India, the boat from Master & Commander, and a Soviet-era submarine (plus a few others i didn't take pics of)

              USS Ronald Reagan

              Exterior shots of the Midway

              F9F Panther

              Aircraft elevator/patio area

              SNJ Trainer/aka T-6 Texan

              C-1 Trader/aka S2 Tracker

              F-14 Tomcat w/cutaway of cannon

F/A-18 Hornet painted as a MiG

              S-3 Viking

              RA-5 Vigilante

              A-6 Intruder

              the "meatball" glide slope/landing lights

              flight deck from the superstructure

LOL, the Carnival cruise we went on last year (Parrotheads), the room steward makes animals too. We;ll be doing it again in March, Western Carribbean this time.
