I remember the hungry college days. This may sound cliché, but Hamburger Helper sans the Hamburger was a nice tasty treat. Ramen kept us from starving. Throw in some veggies and we were styling. My roommates would love it when my mom would come to visit. She would feel sorry for us and fill the fridge. We would at least eat relatively healthy for a couple days.

My favorite was anything wrapped in a tortilla. You get way more for the price than you do for bread.

Lol guys. it's rather easy. Being a Senior in high school, i've been looking for food options for when I go off to college. I came across some of the most inexpensive food items.

          Milk
          Orange Juice
Ice Tea (Unbrewed in the pouch)
          Ramen (doesn't matter what brand...)
          and Eggs (LOTS OF EGGS!!)
...some like seasonings of whatever sort.

...that's all you'll need really. Maybe a good Vitamin supplement...lile Flintstones...

Anyway the Milk and Orange juice...well the orange juice is for breakfast (I don't typically drink milk in the mornings, gives me a stomach ache if I drink it before noon)
You can eat eggs for breakfast!

A Cool recipe for those on the go that include lots of carbs and plenty of protien is eggs and ramen. Eggs are PACKED with protein, and a but of amino acids and a couple vitamins....the incredible edible...yeah we've all heard it. Anyway you take the Ramen, pop it in your handy dandy microwave for about 4mins. Once the noodle are soft stir up the Ramen flavoring inot the noodles, and Crack an egg in that bad boy...yes crack the egg in the noodles! stir up the yolks, and pop that bad boy in the microwave until most of the water has evaporated...but please don't burn hte noodles. If you're cooking it on the stove cook the ramen till the noodles are soft, and as the noodles are softening periodically add the flavoring (That way it soaks into the noodles) anyway after the noodles are plenty soft crack an egg in the noodles and cook it till the egg is cooked (raw egg bad...salmonella bad!) after all is said, cooked, and done...enjoy!

And my sister found this out suprisingly...Salmon is in fact not THAT expensive. I dunno how it's like where you guys live but it's relatively inexpensive here. If you've got anything like a george foreman (Christmas is coming up), and those seasoning I mentioned earlier, you buy the salmon, a lemon, and lemon pepper. Soak the salmon in a heavy lemon juice, lemon pepper mixture, and after you feel it's soaked long enough (The longer the better) grill the salmon on the george foreman.
...it makes a great dinner for the girlfriend or just if your tired of Ramen!

Baked Potatoes are really good too. I don't think Potatoes are too expensive...great source of starches. Add some cheese and and some bacon bits (The real kind the fake have no protien), and you've got something with calcium, starch, and a tiny amount of protien!

          Woot i'm on a roll!!

ALl my friends say pop-tarts are good...but they have a tendency to get expensive. If you can find them on sale, I say go for it. They make a great out of the ordinary breakfast.

If you've got the money for plain Bagels, sliced cheese (I find American singles are the best) and some lunch meat (Preferably ham) make a great meal! Put the cheese and lunchmeat on the bagel like a sandwhich and pop it in the microwave till the cheese is melted. Eat on the way out the door...it's really good, And I don't think it's TOO expensive.

Hmm...Cold cereal...don't go brand name. You can eat cereal any time of day practically. If you buy cereal, go with the kind in the bags. They are bigger, taste just as good, and are usually half the price! More for less!!

Well...there ya go. Some ideas to keep you going...hope they help!!
          WTF Mate?

Confucious Say: He who stand on toilet...is high on pot.

I'm 6' and only like 165 lbs... I used to be strong when I worked manual labor... now I'm weak and out of shape, all-though because of my weight, I appear to be in shape.

Heck yeah, weve had that. Its way good. I basically eat anything. The only thing i dont like is raw onions, I cant stand them. but if theyre grilled or onion rings Theyre gone like no other.

rockrat33 and me lived off of ramen in our first apartment. After we got real jobs it was an 18pack and steak and baked potato. Now we're married with jeeps and it ramen to save money for more parts. LOL. You should try Mac and cheese with a can of tuna and some frozen peas. pretty good and sticks to your ribs.

                            also should try kielbasa diced
                            saute in beer and butter.
add in cubed potatos with onions and peppers
                            add more beer
                            drink left overs
scramble some eggs in another skillet
                            drink another beer
load up a plate with potato mix top with eggs.
eat with a beer or two
                            great for camping too.
                            drink another beer.
