  • prayer request

i am requesting prayers from anyone that has one to give.
my brother-in-law was in a terrible motorcycle accident, and is in critical condition.
at this time he has one punctured lung, one deflated lung, a severly broken back in many places, and many broken ribs.
to put it short, he is a mess, and fighting hard for his life.
if you have a prayer to give, please send one his way.
    his name is Geno Saraceno
he is a father, grandfather, husband, and friend to many.

the accident took place on his way home from "sturgis". the details are not clear, but it seems he somehow went off of the road a bit, and while attempting to correct, hit a rock which sent him over the bars of the bike. his back hit a 4x4 sign pole which stopped him cold.

his family has suffered a lot in the past few years, and really does not need anything else to mourn over.

he and his wife, debby (my wifes sister) lost their youngest daughter last year to hodgkins lymphoma at age 21.
his neice has since had complete kidney failure at age 17, and undergoes dialisis (sp?) every 2 days.

Gino is the foundation for that side of the family.

to say that his family has been overburdened with strange instances of bad health would be an understatement.

please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

    Erik

thank you to all who have taken the time to offer up your prayers for Gino.
he has begun to make progress in the right direction. there is a long row to hoe, but one of his lungs has begun to recover and become semi-usable.
some of his other stats have begun to stabilize as well.

keep em' coming, folks. every bit of positive energy flowing his way is of benefit.

Good luck. It sometimes seems that some families/ people go through an unusual amount of pain and stress. I know the feeling, but hope that you and yours can make something, whatever positive out of it. Good luck towards Geno's recovery.
