    i'm going to alaska (anchorage to be specific) at the end of the month. i'll be there for about a week. anyone been there and have any links/resources/etc. that i can add to my list of stuff to do while i'm there?

    a backpacking trip in Denali is already in order...

    Been a long time, and my trip was very short (was on my way to Korea, so we had a overnight stop at Elmendorf AFB). Can't give you any good links, etc. But you are on the right track with the backpacking trip!

      Go help fix the oil pipelines so are gas prices dont increase.....

          Salmon runs were starting in July though it was really packed! Get some fishin done, they will smoke it and mail it to you.

            yum yum, yes I was thinking of doing a day trip on a fishing boat and catching some really big fish or going fishing local in a stream...

              Good time of year to go up. Coming back from denali youll have your sun glasses on even if its at night. The mountain , the few times I've been in the park was clouded over. There are some jeep tours you can take. I usally rent but if this is your first dont , its really muddy in places.

              There are even horse back camping tours.

              Fishing will be packed and standing room only be sure to get an license.
