Hey guys.. haven't been on the board in for freakin' ever.. so an update to those that remember me..
Since I was here last:
- Bought a house
- Got Married
- Two Kids
- Now own my business
- made treasurer of international non-profit org.
between all my family and business commitments, haven't had much time to talk jeeps.. and my yj has suffered as a result.. Finally got around to cleaning her out and straightening out some issues its had lately.
My Taurus Fan finally kicked the bucket - (many of you might recognize my writeup hosted over on myjeeprocks.com) I suspect is has something to do with the overcurrent resistor. Replaced the mech. fan and it's all good.
My 8klb harbor-fruit winch (one of the first) is still running strong, yet I need a new cable for it..(snapped the last one)although it might be cheaper to just upgrade to the 10k HF winch
Anyway.. I have been driving the heep around the last few weeks with the top completely off, throwing a tarp over it when necessary. It occurred to me:
Why doesn't someone make a Safari-style bikini-top with integrated roll-down sides to protect your jeep when it rains? it would be simple, fast, and easy to use, particularly when your doors are at home and you're at the supermarket.
