Ok heres the last of the stage trail out of Table Mountain. It was a nice day today so played instead of work nice eh?
Stormtrooper did a write up on table mountain. I posted a picture of some old cars at a grand opening. Well today I sorted out what the grand opening was. I got in the old red rider and took out to find that location!
Heres the picture:
Well I was wrong this was not the San diego revamping the trail but when the single lane cement road was opened and the old trail closed down.
This picture was taken from the top but I got locks on the small mountain in the middle. Hwy 8 ! I'll post later a Picture from closer to the location which the earlier photograpeher took from.
But it was a nice day!
To get to the top where the photo of hwy 8 is shown I took the stage trail.
I hate heights!!! The friggen road was narrow and at points my tires were ready to go off the hill argh! Me being a chicken I used the wrench to pull out boulders so that me that red rider could make it.
Heres some more pictures!

So did you dig around a little in the quartz vein? You might have left some gold sitting in there. As far as detecting goes some of the prospectors I have met have a saying. " you will find 100 bullets before you find one nugget"Dennis

Amazing thing about this canyon I did not detect on buckshot or bullet casing.

We ran the first 1.3 miles in two trips. To prevent any damage we took the easy bunny rabbit trails!
Ok. Heres the Photo
How about this one? Same place?
And this too?
About 1.3 miles into we found this! Graffiti 1911

Black and White Photos:
Heres something interesting. I have uncovered who the photograher was.
He is the man on the left standing next to his... get this
1910 "Bush Runabout"
1 cylinder and a whopping 8 hp
Look at his rig he has solid rear rims! Hes an original 4X4 person!
In all of the BW pictures I've posted you will see his rig in it!
And I think I know where this one was taken....
