WARNING - spoilers ahead.


Well, my official gripes about the movie are that THE DAMN DUKES NEVER SMOKED POT OR MADE HOMO REFERENCES IN THE ORIGINAL SERIES. But I guess since they didn't try to set the movie in the 80's and they used modern times, this is to be expected of the Hollywood idiots. Likewise, they made the Confederate flag on the General out as a racist symbol rather than the true meaning of that flag.

The whole "the doors aren't supposed to open" debacle is easily explained - the General starts out as a royal POS with black steelies, doors that open, crappy numbers on the side, no Confederate flag, etc at the beginning of the movie and I was like "ok, they really screwed this up and they're just making fun of rednecks..." But then Bo crashes the hell out of the General and Cooter has to fix it up for the big race. Cooter puts everything right - the doors no longer open and everything else looks correct (no antenna either Chris). I'm sure Dukes69 will find something wrong with it, but I think they did right by the General. And yes, Jessica Simpson is a bimbo, only made worse by the terrible redneck impression and accent. Although, it is pretty cool when she kicks the crap outta some guy in the Boars Nest...

I haven't seen the movie yet.Jr. works nights at the local theatre so I get in free(still have to pay $15 for popcorn and soda).Not to happy that they destroyed some more of the few remaining '69 Chargers out there.Jessica Simpson is way to young anyhow...now her mom on the other hand...wonder what she looks like...WAIT...Is MARGE her mother???Yeah that blue hair....
