  • Why I didn't finish my Jeep Today

Heres a couple of pictures of why I didn't get my Jeep put together today. We have been pummeled with storms here in the Northeast the last few weeks.I have returned to doing treework fulltime after leaving my Arborist Training position April 1st.I returned from a few days of camping yesterday afternoon and once again we were hit with a severe storm.I made the local news removing this tree from this house.[url=http://www.myjeeprocks.com/forums/gallery/files/3/8/4/000_0169.JPG][img]

The June damage was at a camp in Hadlock Pond in NY.You can't see it in the pictures but there is a camp under there...

Getting ready to head back out and do storm clean up again tomorrow.Maybe I can salvage Monday and get my freshly machined flywheel, new Centerforce 2 clutch and the tranny/transfer case back in.I had planned to do a bunch of work on the Jeep this weekend(which is why we came back from camping Friday) and install a new winch cable on my brush chipper.

What chainsaw head, bar, and chain are you using for limbing the downed trees? What are you using to cross cut the trunks?

Standard saws carried in the box on the bucket truck are all Husqvarnas as follows: 394 w/36" bar,288 w/24" bar,262 w/20" bar,242 w/16" bar and 2 335's w/14" bars.If needed there are 3 old 266 's w/20" bars,272 w/20" bar,254 w/18" bar,2101 w/32" bar in the garage. When I build a new tire carrier for my CJ5 it's going to have a scabbard for one of the old 266's to ride in.I also have some old Stihls in the garage butI mostly run the Huskys as I get good service from my dealer. When I was teaching at the school we ran Stihls as Stihl was nice enough to donate about $5000. worth of saws to our program! The Huskies and Stihls are both fine saws.
