Deep Impact

For those of you in the southwest US, Baja, New Zealand and a few other select sites, you should be able to see Deep Impact on the 4th of July. We (NASA) are impacting a craft with the comet Tempel1.

The comet will be above the horizon at the time of impact and viewable in Hawaii, New Zealand, Baja California and the Southwestern U.S. (California, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada.)
