i have been argueing with my freind about this for a while , in the last 20 years has there been a production 2wd Wrangler, and if so which 1. Thanks allot

Not in the last twenty years, unless you count the DJ (postal jeep), which was manufactured up until the mid eighties.

Wranglers have always been 4x4, universals had a few 2x production modles, such as postal jeeps, resort jeeps and delivery jeeps.
I think the coolest 2x made by jeep was the resort jeep.

There has never been a production 2wd "Wrangler." Seeing how wranglers started in 1987, I think thats safe.

Yes u did. Like they said there wasnt really any type of 2wds for the regualar persons, only for bussiness and what not.

Hey guys.
Reguarding the 2WD wrangler, I read your post saying jeep never made one other than postal trucks. I hate to burst the bubble, but in 1997 Jeep did offer a 2WD wrangler as an option. this is straight from the horses mouth. I work for a Jeep Dealer and got this info from Jeep themselves.

I'm almost positive I've seen a 2WD XJ but not a wrangler...??
