shoot, I shouldn't have mentioned the Alaska trip, now I guess I HAVE to do it.
Jason, the old flat fender has come quite a ways since you towed it to my place, eh?
I have the transfer case up on the bench doing a few things and cleaning it up after the main drive gear fell off 2 weeks ago (nothing broke!!!) The nylock nut worked loose, and then the gear popped off. I'm guessing the transfer case got hot on some of the long drives, and then later on just worked loose.
So, I'm putting on a deeper oil pan on the TC (from Novak) so that it can have more oil to help cool things. Hopefully the willys is back on the road again next week
