I agree with most of what you say. In the US the Sugar Tariffs cost the companys twice what the world market is. That is because of what congress did in 1934 for some good old boys in florida that give them money. The unions did not want to pay any of there pensions or health care. Also the company has some management problems. (they are back at the bargain table again)

The US is changing in to a different country. The people that make 35,000 or less are going to vote for who ever will give them free stuff. The government wants you to be dependent on them.

The people shouldn't fear the government; the government should fear the people. Time we put the fear into our government.

This is what the Gov. puts out.

Ask not what you can do for your country, but what your new country can do for you.

“Welcome to USA.gov,” a website maintained by the Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), bills itself as the “primary gateway for new immigrants to find basic information on how to settle in the United States” — featuring a prominent section for new immigrants about how to access government benefits.

“Depending on your immigration status, length of time in the United States, and income, you may be eligible for some federal benefit programs,” the Web page reads.

“Government assistance programs can be critically important to the well-being of some immigrants and their families. Frequently, however, there is a lack of information about how to access such benefits. Benefit programs can be complicated and you may be given misleading information about how they operate.”

The DHS page offers links to government websites that explain how to access benefits including food stamps, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicaid, Medicare, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and the “official website with information on all available federal benefit programs.

Wow. From a loss of cupcakes to a 'Political Forum' spill over.

I agree with you Curtis that the US is 'changing' into a different country. Is it is bad or good? I can say with a high degree of certainty that we will not get a choice. It's not just he folks that make $35k or less that made this country look for hand outs. It is the majority. The majority voted for 'change'.

Hostess did what it had to to make a 'change'. 18,500 people obviously need a wake up call.

              What a world.
              Sugar = politics = Jeeps?
Is this still a Jeep site?

I though the unions were trying to make a deal and keep hostess going. Looks who's now interested.

I did not post my original post with the intent of turning this in to a political discussion. There is another section for that.

I once had a girlfriend who called me cupcake. Still can't figure out why.

                  Maybe it was twinkie.

                    Ok how's this.

A 14-year-old girl walks into a hairdresser's shop with a Twinkie in her hand. She sits on the seat and the barber puts the plastic cover on her. As he is cutting her hair, she takes out her Twinkie and starts to eat it, not realizing that her cut hair is falling on her Twinkie. The hairdresser, being polite, looks down at her, smiles playfully, and says, ''Young lady, did you know that you're getting hair on your Twinkie?''
She smiles back, and says, ''Yes, I know...I'm growing boobs too!
