inexpensive sheet metal break?

So I'm looking to start making some custom brackets and things (both for the jeeps, and for my furniture projects). I'd say for now I don't need to bend anything thicker than 1/8", and I doubt I would be needing to bend anything that's wider than 6 or 8 inches.

What would be an inexpensive (but effective) way to bend sheet metal reliably at 90 degrees? I'm not looking to get something to expensive, or to large.

Any suggestions from you metal fab guys?

I inherited Jonah's sheet metal brake and it works really well. Simple to build too. I'll take some pics and post them here later.

If it's somethign I can make with only 110 welding power, absolutely!

Harbor Freight sells a relatively inexpensive brake or two.

I happened to have most the steel for it laying around so I made it. But if you had to buy the metal, the HF one for 230 would probably work just as well.

I've been looking at that SWAG DIY kit for the HF 20 ton press. Man that sure would be perfect I think! And for a great price too.

I'm curious though, since I only have access to 110v at home, would it be feasible for me to weld that kit together? or would my welds not be strong enough with only 110v mig?
