Some friends of mine and I are looking for a place to camp and do a little bit of wheeling near Frazier park sometime after Thanksgiving, From what I understand after mid november the camping areas are closed. Are there any options near there?

Although most of the campgrounds in the Los Padres National Forest are closed during the winter months, I believe that these campgrounds are open year-round. To be safe, I would contact the park rangers or the forest rangers:
1. Hungry Valley OHV area http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=25607
2. Ballinger Campground http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/lpnf/...10978&actid=29
3. Dome Springs Campground http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/lpnf/...10983&actid=29If you don't like the way I drive, stay out of the bushes!
