Most of you have been to the Cougar Buttes/High Desert Round-Up areas. If so, you've likely visited the Slash X Ranch Cafe near Barstow. I was forwarded this today and it is sad news, indeed.
Anyone who has ever met Brian Lynn knows him as a great storyteller and a guy with a smile on his face. I've hoisted more than a few beers with him while cooling off from a day on Pumpkin Eater. And there's nothing better than one of Brian's Slash X breakfasts featuring tater-tots smothered in gravy.
I hope the Slash X survives this. It is an oasis and a true landmark in the Barstow area. My best wishes to all of Brian's family and friends.

Wow. This is very sad. Brian was a great guy. He really loved the off road community and welcomed everyone.
      Check out .

A great loss for sure. I too hope the X lives on.

No seatbelts. How tragic. Maybe could have been prevented.
