  • Shooting Information in San Berdoo County and SBNF

I have been "hunting" for information related to designated shooting areas, both private and public, in the SBNF and San Bernadino County areas. I have actually found quite a bit of helpful info! Here are some links for future reference.

The Fish and Game Commissioner for San Berdoo is a shooter! He has put together an updated map of the entire county that defines where you can shoot legally. These are excellent maps, dated 2010, and replace the very old one you may have seen before. Here is the info:

    John Bishop
    Commissioner
    San Bernardino County
    Fish and Game Commission
    Member: NRA, CRPA, WEGC

The SBNF has several helpful web pages that list "Designated Public Target Shooting Areas" Here is a link: http://bit.ly/jc6OSh

Nathan I go to 2N93 in the spring & fall when it is open to shooting. You can get to 1N09 by going up 1N16 or by going from Angelus oaks. They have yet to open 2N93 this year.

Curtis, do you happen to know the ranges (distances) allowed at the Arrastre Recreational Shooting Site, located along 2N02?

            Nathan,

The ones that I have seen along 2N02 just west of Arrastre Creek crossing are short distance. Nothing over 50+ yards that I remember. If you want to to go out one day I can hook you up with something better. Send me a PM
