  • Inflatable Kayaks

We have been thinking about getting one or two for some of our adventures. Not looking to run white water, but to enjoy a mild river or lake. What are your experiences? We would pack into our motorhome.

I had a couple of Sevylor kayaks years ago. The flat bottom makes them incredibly stable in white water. Just remember that there is nothing holding you in, be mindful. On lakes, the only thing to remember is that with the flat bottom and no keel, it takes a bit of getting used to to steer. You'll get the hang of it pretty quickly. I wish I still had mine. They are fairly compact if you deflate them completely. I fit two in a seabag and we rode a motorcycle to the dropoff point and put them deflated and wet in the trunk of my car at the pickup point. One was big enough for two people. I even had three a time or two. Storage shouldn't be a problem in a motorhome, just dry it out before putting it away.
