Thats pretty cool, plenty of power.

I've been thinking about buying one of those used Penske 3500 box vans and turning the back into a camper. Having the set up I have now, Dodge dually, bumper pull toy hauler trailer, I'm forced to drive my Jeep when I want to take it out. I don't trust the trailer floor to hold the Rubi. And the hitch laws won't allow me to tow doubles. My license will but the hitch set up won't.

Anyways I was thinking I could pick up one of these late model low mileage Penske vans for around $7k, set it up as a camper and then tow the jeep behind. Either that I'm gonna keep what I have and either find a cheap camper for jeep trips. or build me a removable GN style hitch for the front of my toy hauler. With the GN hitch on the trailer I should be able to get away with adding a hitch to the back of the Toy hauler and do the doubles thing.

There's a place that builds these out back style camp rigs with Dodge 3500 and 4500 trucks. A buddy sent me the link awhile back. I'll see if I can find it for you.

I went back and took a closer look at that build yesterday. Would be very cool to build something like this. I watched a program on Direct TV awhile back about RV's, they had a couple trucks on there like this. Very cool stuff.

I see 4x4 trucks as big as these at the Ken Porter auction all the time, ex City/State utility trucks and such. Most have very low mileage. Might be a good place for a guy to start a project like this?

The link I was thinking about Yesterday was http://earthroamer.com/

They do some pretty cool builds.

Nice link. Thanks for sharing. This is a little "out of my league", but sure seems interesting to me.
