A friend of mine is putting a 1200 hp engine in his 2007 jk. He's building a tubed rock crawler so he kill the body on his jk on rocky trails. It will get a complete suspension revamp from what he's already done. The jk will have coil overs and triple by passes all the way around. It will have prerunner style trailing arms on the rear. Is there anyone else out there that has a jeep like this? I sure would like to see some pics

Seems like kind of an overkill. Once the wheels loose traction, horsepower doesn't matter.

I dont doubt an engine being able to produce 1200 ponies. That kind of power would be useful in a sand/ mud vehicle, as others have said sounds like overkill for rock crawling. Good luck keeping the drive train together.Build it right the first time.

I'd love to see a shot of the motor with a dyno sheet. A nice supercharged LS motor can see an easy 750 plus and be dependable (keyword..dependable). It's alot harder to hit or go over 1000 then people think. When you get there you still gotta put it to the ground and control it. If your going to race, it has to hold together.
Its hard for me to pull the BS card on this when I saw one of my students EVO pull over 500hp on the dyno and the sheet from his dads EVO race car at 700hp on alcohol.
