• Anyone have any info??

Looking into camping along the river somewhere between Blythe and Laughlin. Most campgrounds are full for memorial weekend but what the hell who needs a campground right. If anyone has info on some public land camping spot close to the water I would be greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks!!!

I don't know of any free camping sites between Blythe and Laughlin. A lot of the property is Indian Reservation or private farmland. There are several state and county parks along Lake Havasu and the Parker Strip, but they charge for camping. The La Paz County Park on the Parker Strip is very nice. It is on the river and has showers. It is the base camp for the Parker Splash 4WD event each fall.

There are plenty of free camping sites along Lake Mojave, just north of Laughlin in the Lake Mead/Lake Mohave National Recreation Area. Here is a link to a map of the Jeep trails that will take you to secluded coves along the lake:

This is Sandy Wash Cove at Lake Mojave:

    Nellis Cove at Lake Mojave:

Nine Mile Cove has a pit toilet, but it is likely to be more crowded:

    Tamarisk Cove:

    Mid Basin Cove:

Six Mile Cove is closest to the pavement, so it's less secluded:

There are other coves, but those are the only ones that I have pictures of.
If you don't like the way I drive, stay out of the bushes!

BTW, here are the rules about backcountry camping at Lake Mojave:

      Backcountry Camping
Numerous areas can be reached by boat, car, backpacking or horseback. Primitive camping, accessible by boat along the shoreline, is permitted anywhere outside of developed areas or areas marked NO CAMPING. Camping is limited to a total of 90 days within any consecutive 12-month period. Unless otherwise specified, camping is limited to 15 days per visit at a specific backcountry area. After 15 days, campers must either move to another backcountry area or developed campground, or leave the park. When camping in the backcountry, always tell a friend or relative where you are going and when you plan to return.

Here's the link to camping info for the Lake Mead/Lake Mojave National Recreation Area:
