Baja quake

Is there a site showing damage in Mexico? I haven't been able to find anything.

The USGS has determined it is a 7.2 quake. That is a NO BS shaker down there.

I'd imagine there is significant damage in Mexico due to the inferior construction codes more than anything.

We felt it in Rialto (I was at work) and we didn't get any reports of damage or of anyone hurt up here in SB County. We sure got a good shake'n though! Latest update we got was, it was upgraded to a 7.2

Man CNN sucks. They report "Pictures from Mexicali, a major metropolitan area and the capital of Mexico's Baja California state, showed sides ripped off buildings, telephone poles toppled, roads cracked and supermarket aisles strewn with food that had fallen off shelves." But of course they don't link to any images.

Prob not no news, not until tomorrow. Theres really not much in the area of the epi. Closest would be Guadalupe hot springs. There is a geothermo plant in the volcano east of the epi and a small town.

Wife reported the store she was in started to come down. There will be damage in the area of the epi.

Quake seems to be coming up the salada into the Yuha desert.

I'm tempted to load of the rig, camera and head south.
but I'm sure there will be some law and army down there..prob not a good thing...here comes another rocker.....will be a good night to sleep in the jeep!..

That is a whole LOT of shaking going on...
Looks like about 30 quakes in that area yesterday from 4-7 magnitude. Crazy!

been getting about 20per hr. last big one was aqbout 6am. hwy 8 west bound is down to 1 lane. looks like it got a lttle sink in it. think i'll head to TJ ha ha prob safer there.

Yes right after the 7nr and that road is partially destroyed. I'll take a close look at it Friday.
