  • My New 4x4 Toy!

My new toy is sporting a Dana 60 up front, Dana 80 out back. 6-inch lift and rolling on 35s!!

Well between the new job, and looking for a vehicle to replace Mr. Green as my Daily Driver, I haven't been wheelin' or even on MJR much.
Hopefully, some of this is about to change because I bought a 4X4 to play in and drive to work every day. Now Mr. Green can get some MUCH needed repair and improvement work.

The new toy will definitely be able to tow Mr. Green to those far away places with ease. It's a 2001 Ford F350 with a 7.3L turbo diesel.

Since I am planning to tow and carry a camper in the bed, the 6" lift has got to go. So if any of you know someone that would trade a stock F350 4WD suspension for a 6" lift (even swap), please send them my way!

I'm not sure if the 35s will fit when it is lowered, so I would need to trade the mostly new 315 75R16 BFG ATs for some 265 75R16 ATs of the same quality.

I really like the new ride. All leather interior in great shape. It's even got seat heaters to keep my tushy warm. I can't wait to see how it tows and plays in the dirt. But, for now, the free time will go to getting Mr. Green Fit-for-Fun.

I have finally stopped drinking for good.
Now I drink for evil.....

Nice ride Mike! Now you can just drive those lowered Hondas on the way to work. We all want to see Mr Green back on the trail.
    Miss you guys.

You don't need to loose the lift for a camper, my buddy runs his truck and has NO problems with it....

I suppose you'll start wearing cowboy hats and listening to country music now, huh? Nice find Mike. Enjoy!

Nice truck Mike . . . so how long before those axles end up under Mr. Green?
That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.

Funny that you should mention that. I had the uncontrollable urge to download some old country music last night. I got some George Jones, Charlie Pride, Merle Haggard and Hank Jr. :gun:

Actually, the bigger lifted one with only 39K miles fell through. This was my second choice.

I hear ya man, and I have no doubt that it isn't a problem, but I just don't like being that lifted. It's a foot and a half drop from the seat to the ground for me and I am 6 feet tall. It looks cool though!

Probably never since this particular truck engine is rumored to last 500K. BUT, if it doesn't....

You might be right. I got the D80 from a spec sheet for a 2003. How can I tell?

I had an '03 crew cab 4x4. Same color. Not two-tone though. 7.3L is a great motor! Tip to keep the trans cool is the 6.0l trans cooler is 4x as big and is a FACTORY bolt on I also loved the hypertech III tons more power.
