I'm a little upset that this 'dreamliner' is not even a Hybrid! I mean can't Boeing step into the age already? The years of big gas guzzling suv's is over, they need to deal with it!

It was the 787, and as a Boeing employee I am STILL letting out a huge sigh of relief. Maybe now our stock price will start to recover

It looks like it will haul between 250 & 300 according to the article.

The version being tested will be able to fly up to 250 passengers about 9,000 miles (14,485 kilometers). A stretch version will be capable of carrying 290 passengers and a short-range model up to 330.

It's a very cool advancement. It would be nice if that resulted in savings that could be passed along to the consumer with lower airfares.

Yep. The "best selling" variant is the 788 (787-800), that's a 210-250 passenger model. 783 is 290-330, 789 is 250-290.
