Don't know the ground rules at LAX but why can't you go around the B-747?? At my airport we can as long as we don't drive under the wings. It's not like the tug is going 50 mph.....
It's hard to tell in the photo, I see it's crossing a roadway, but it looks like it's either going to or from the ramp. Can't you drive on the ramp?
Maybe since I'm the Airport Facilities & Maintnenance Manager, I can drive anywhere, well taxiways & runways need the okay from the ATC guys....

Hopefully at your airport, Airport and Facilities Managers aren't required to know their aircraft types - that isn't a B-747
I'm not allowed on the runways or taxi lanes, except to cross for specific purposes - and I need to check with ATC for that. I could have punched it and gone around the OPS car before the A380 tug pulled him to hangar 3 - but passing an OPS car is never a good idea - they aren't issued a sense of humor.
Biggest problem we have on the north side - A380 wings go over a lot of the service roads on tow (and their tugs are almost two lanes wide on the service roads)

No, but occasionally they drive on the service roads. Did I mention that the outboard engines on a 747-400 are EXACTLY the windshield height of a F-150?
