Junk yard drug smugglers.

I was at the pick a part this weekend and I found this Explorer. I have heard about this many times in the car business. These are steal boxes attached to the wheel inside the tire for the purpose of bringing drugs across the border. I imagine that this truck was in the junk yard because they got caught and the truck was impounded. I hope they used a grinder to cut them open and not a torch.

I was just watching something the other day about Junk Yards, also being a big player in the gold smuggling biz. They can melt the gold down and combine it with other metal and shape it to look like just about anything to conceal it. Pretty interesting to see the lengths criminals go.

Brian brings up an interesting point, how could you balance the tires?

If I see a couple of dirt-bags in a vehicle with wobbley tires, I'll assume they're smuggling drugs!
