[COLOR="Sienna"]Well, for anyone interested, Barb and I have landed on our feet here in Michigan. I miss home.
Barb's broken ankle makes a lot of extra work for me, but I don't mind. She was a trooper and drove the Liberty home in spite of the pain, I guess I can clean the cat litter more often.
Everything is wet here... our first night home it stormed like nobody's business. The YJ had about an inch of water in the bottom of it. Note to self: Find plugs in floor and pull them out. Or make some. So, since the soft top isn't in great condition, I'm checking the boards or a good used one. For now I have a tarp I'm gonna bungee cord over the top of YJ. [That's a Michigan fix]
Apparently everyone back here was expecting me to bring the CJ home too. One person has saved me a front Dana 44 with passenger diff, and my uncle has said he'll help me wire up a Vortec V6 into it. I guess I just have to buy the engine. (ha ha)
I already miss everyone out west, people here think I'm crazy for not wanting to drop a V8 with 2-ton axles and 44"+ tires. "Rock Gardens" here are in the 2ft height range. But I take what I can get I suppose. At least it's not MUD
Okay, well I'm going to take off and do some "father's day" stuff. Just thought I'd drop in and say "hey".
See ya!
