(May 6, 2009) — Today, U.S. Rep Peter T. King (R-NY), Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security, along with Republican Leader John Boehner, Republican Whip Eric Cantor, Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence and Republican Members of the Committee on Homeland Security introduced a Resolution of Inquiry asking Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to release information used in compiling the so-called “Rightwing Extremism,” report. “We have made repeated requests that the committee hold a bipartisan oversight hearing, but unfortunately those requests have been ignored," King said. "We are left with no other alternative but to demand answers from the Secretary of Homeland Security herself.”
