  • CCW in CA?

i caught something on the news last night about a bill being presented that would make it a lot easier for the average Joe to get the CCW permit in California.

i had one eye closed when they started talking about it so i missed most of what they were saying. did anyone else catch this and actually hear what was being said?

    Assembly Bill 357

California: Proposed easing of concealed carry law

A bill introduced in the state Assembly last month aims to make it easier for Californians to obtain a concealed weapons permit. Assembly Bill 357 – yes, the number is right – would change a state law that currently gives county sheriffs or chiefs of police final say in who can carry a gun.

Both McGinness and Reed said that in their counties, simply wanting to carry a concealed weapon isn't good-enough cause.

"Personal protection is insufficient," McGinness said.

Q: what do these idiots think the 2nd amendment is for then?
:gun: my rifle is not illegal, it's just undocumented... :gun:

True,.. It would be nice if that bill would pass,...Arnold most likely would stop anything of that nature or tax it as a way to make money for the state.

Arizona is a Open Carry state but I've only seen it in the remote towns. I'm not sure about the details but there you are filling your gas tank and hey, the guy next to you has a 45 strapped to his waist like no big deal. But here in LA you'd probably have less petty crime but more deaths if we all carried. It would be just to easy to take out that num-nut pissing you off.

Not sure if Texas is still open carry, but it was for years. I loved it!
