With the system we have in place, it seems like the only way to vote for change is to vote independant. I'd rather "throw my vote away" on an independant candidate that doesn't have a chance it hell vs. partisipating in the two party cluster f*@k that we currently have in place. I'm sure our founding fathers who worked so hard to avoid a 2 party system are looking down on us in disgust.

It's amazing how many folks feel completely disenfranchised. Makes you want to move to the sticks, get a cash- based job, become one of the nominal "have nots" and take advantage of the system. Maybe my "off the grid" friends in Humboldt County growing crops for cash aren't so far off base after all. That '67 VW Microbus may be calling me.

If it's any consolation, we've had elections way worse than this in the past (1830's, 1850's and 60's) theres been more than one Great depression, a couple of world wars, and we're still here. We'll just have to stay on top of this "history maker" to make sure he doesn't turn this country into an enclave for Alah!

It is time we took this country back from the disgrace of a 2 party fiasco we have now
If everyone would start writing in who they thought would be best we could change things around here
but sadly that change would take a long time
Your vote did a lot. it was better than most of the non thought out votes others did just because they have not the ability to think.
Your vote counted, and counted extremely loud.
We need to take our government back over, like we did in the 1700s. and make it FOR the people again.

it doesn't seem to matter which party is in,it always ends the same way.the past several elections have left a sour taste in my mouth. I even get disgusted with the campaigns.there not based on the issues,just slandering the other canidate. as for those that don't vote your opinions do not really matter if your not willing to step to the booth.So keep them to yourself until you decide to make a stand.

At least that was a historical event, This is only historical because of Race. And tha should not even be an issue. We actually just had an election where the issues were very important and noone who was a front runner has a clue about what they are.
I mean the winner wants to tax us out of the fact we borrow money to keep our economy afloat. Face it, the federal government has allowed our financial section of the economy to grow to 43% while our manufacturing is almost nil. How much longer can a economy last that is dependent on borrowing money?
Taxing the rich and giving to the poor only leads to inflation, as the rich only raise prices to recover their money. Obama only knows how to raise money and become rich by using the failing methods used for the last 12 years. If he truly knew how to change things he would reenact tariffs and get rid of foreign aide.
Foreign aide only allows a country to not have to tax it's economy because we are paying those taxes, therefore they can underbid our workers.
