here is the run-down on our recent trip to Jamaica.
I have to tell you, this is the best, most relaxing vacation i have ever taken.
It was a sandals resort trip which is "all inclusive"
there are like 15 restaurants, all the drinking you can handle, no tips required, and transportation to the facilities was also included.
the food was great, and there was plenty of entertainment. they had the steel drum bands come in to play at the on site ampitheater, beach parties, dancing, comedy, and all sorts of other entertainment outside of the pool tables, ping pong darts, and the many, many hammocks well placed in the lush gardens.
there are literally 100 pools on this property, but who needs those with the ocean as beautiful as any you have ever seen.
the wait staff, and other servers were always attentive, and offered up fantastic service.

one of the many, many swimming pools on the resort.
i'm not sure what this is called, but it sure is pretty. i think it is one of their national flowers.
we took a private tour and paid a taxi triver to run us into areas of the "real Jamaica". outside of where the tourists normally go.
he took us up a road through the rain forests toward kingston, and wound us into some areas of the Blue Mountain, which is where some of the best coffee in the world comes from.
on this ride, we saw some beautiful sites, and some of the people doing what they do outside of servicing the tourists.

we came across this boy on the swing with his machete.
when we stopped to talk to him, those other kids saw white folks out there and wanted to see us for themselves. they were climbing in the trees getting us fruits, and really excited to see us in their area.
this is Dunns River Falls.
we climbed the falls... what a great time that was
some lizard we came across... i have no idea what type it is.
i fed it some watermellon
here is a pretty land crab.
this is the boat that took you snorkeing, and scuba diving.
a sample of the service they gave you at the nicer eateries.
he has te ladie's desert on his head, and the man's on his arm.
pretty cool delivery.
it was a fantastic time, and i would do it again in a second!
