I can't believe the Republicans couldn't do any better than McCain. With all the close the border and 2nd ammendment candidates early on, I can't understand how a liberal in a Republican uniform pulled ahead. Bummer.

In most cases, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I can't think of a squeakier wheel than a liberal democrat.

I'm actually middle of the road. I like the idea of reform only for the things that don't work AND I like the idea of leaving things the hell alone if they work halfway decently. Either of the Bush's could have been great presidents if they focused on this country instead of pulling the "hey, look over here" trick with all that crap in the middle east. Iraq has nothing we need or want... alliances, resources or otherwise.
