Hand held opinions

I need to get a new 2m hand held.
Im torn between these two
Yaseu FT-270 http://www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-010076
Yaseu FT-252 http://www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=71-001522

the 270 has a few more features but I like the ruggedness of the 252. I have a good mobile so it wont be used for that.

I have the VX-6R and it's great, but more expensive.

The 270 has a rebate ,that's pretty sweet!

I'm partial to a numerical key pad myself like this Like the Yeasu FT 250, but I just looked and it is discontinued. So I'm no help!

I was going after the 250 but..... then I saw the 252.
I think I'm going to agree with you and stay with conventional keypad.
