I've forgotten about FD!!!

Man, time flies! I'm planning a climbing trip that weekend (will probably operate QRP on one of those days)

The club I belong to is have a FD event relatively close to my house. I plan on checking out the festivities and maybe logging some contacts. I'd love to play with some HF stuff now that I'm a general, but I don't have the money for a rig/setup. Spent a small chunk getting a 2m/440 antenna on the house instead of a used HF rig I was looking at.

Bad thing, FD is the same time as San Diego International Beer Festival which I'm hoping to make it to. Maybe I'll take Friday off for beer, and play with radios the rest of the weekend!

Last FD, we did both. Played with Beer and made contacts. I think rules were, 1 drink for each missed contact.

John, without Steve's portable HF equipment, I don't see how we could do it. Unless you or someone else has the gear.

Family is more important. Even more so when they are that young. Enjoy it while it is there. It was like yesterday my sixteen year old daughter was that age.

Congrats! Now just become an extra so you can administer my test next year! My goal is March again. March 2010 - Tech; March 2011 - General. It's almost tradition at this point.

My objective is to have that one by the end of the year. I was going to keep that roll going but my work busy season is upon me and I had other unfinished projects that I had to get back to. So once again, before the end of the year,... having lots of fun on HF... 25 states and 8 country's worked in less than two months.
