        Yay! $14 well spent

Mike - Juliette - Romeo - too funny! All names, should be an easy one to remember.

Roger and Doug, thanks for your help with this!

I am an inexperienced HAM. What does the club call sign "do" for us? How is it used? Are you setting up a base station or repeater? I'm not sure how all this works, so I appreciate any enlightenment you can toss my way.

a club license gives a club first an identity, and all the privileges of that.
Say that during an organized event you would be receiving traffic to a organized point, such as a club station, any licensed ham could operate the club station to his license degree and make the cq destination a simple one call sign designation instead of cqs all over the place to any ham in the area of the station.
It is basically used as a traffic control or a organizational tool.
so setting up a frequency and station radio during an event would organize and control the traffic incoming.
Repeaters and such are other uses but I see the afore mentioned being the biggest benefit at this point for MJR
I do not know Sarah's future plans or if financing a repeater is in her future so I cannot comment on how the plans for the license will go, I was just giving some uses of the club license.

That's a good explanation and I can see how that would be very helpful, for example, at the big Calico events
