    John,

I'd love to get a radio and my license. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. I'd sure be interested if I had a radio!

      Scott,

Get ahold of Robert Barten, He's conducting classes and administering the tests. This is at Station 311. let me know if you need his number and I get it to you. Or check with Chief Keith Petersen, he's at city hall.

On the topic of the Net, Keller peak would seem to be the best choice of repeaters. I say this both because of its coverage and its Echolink capibility. Being and intenet based club I would be happy to see some of our out of state members join in on the Net via Echolink.

That being said I am not sure that KPRA would welcome another off road net. OAUSA.net has a Net every Thursday at 7:30pm.

......KPRA is the repeater owner? Maybe have our net just after or prior to the OAUSA net. If we open the net 30 mins prior we might get some of their early birds to report in too, any thoughts?

KPRA is the Keller Peak Repeater Association. After the OAUSA net would be hard. Last night’s net started at 7:30 and ended at almost 9:00. Normally they don’t last quite that long but they are fairly sporadic. But Keller peak is still my vote because they are on Echolink

                              Echolink? lol

There may very well be a beter place to hold our net. But I don't have teh $300 for the dual bander that I want so I won't be on the Win system for a while.
