  • Not all graphics show on PC monitor

Nobody I've talked to seems to know what causes this, I'm running an HP PC with dual core processor and XPsp3. I have IE7 and Adobe10. Everything works except that on many sites (including MJR) and even some software, I cannot see images or buttons. For example - on MJR I cannot see the rocks or the picture of Rick's CJ-7 or Aaron's Commando. I can't see the trail signs that act as links to the different areas of the site. The only way I know they exist is by logging on from another computer. In some circumstances - like o'reilly's site, I can't find the button to select my engine size, so I can't look up parts. I am using a Samsung monitor with OOD software, but the problem existed before I bought it. Any ideas? Thanks.

      Screenshot?

Could be your security settings for IE. Try Firefox, it sucks less than IE.

Tried that. It's weird, it even does it with some software we have installed that doesn't use IE except when we do updates.

          What HP model?

Have you ever upgraded it's BIOS?

Did you have this problem before SP3?

Are you running the latest video card drivers?

What are your video settings? 32bit? 16bit? 256k?

Have you ever upgraded it's BIOS? No, I do have it set for daily updates, but that's from HP

Did you have this problem before SP3? No, we noticed this problem out of the box. Not sure if it is the computer or monitor.

Are you running the latest video card drivers? How do I find out?

What are your video settings? 32bit? 16bit? 256k?
Video settings for the NVIDIA GeForce 6150LE adapter are as follows: Version 5.51.28.45.65, The resolution is 1440x900 and color is 32 bit with DPI set to 96.

This is just a quirk, but if it can be solved it would sure be cool. Thanks

It's the same with Firefox. Some disc-loaded software does the same thing.

                  is this your computer?

is this your operating system ? "Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005" Also known as XP-pro with SP3.

                  3.43GB of RAM?....XP 64bit operating system? (brave!!!)

If not, please provide model number! (ie HP Pavilion a1520n Athlon64 X2 3800+ 2.0 GHz Desktop and, or upgrades either by you, a friend...Geek squad?

you're welcome to call me, I'll be home rest of this week working on my jeep.

Simple fix (well, what i call simple) go buy a copy win7 pro (32bit version) and a proper video card that works with your 300W Power Supply. or a BFH?

HP Pavillion a1600n It's stock as a rock except that we added more RAM. It accepts 4GB, but only registers having 3.43. It came with 2GB. Thanks for being willing to look into this. I'm lost. Logic is easy, binary and hex are easy, component level t/s & repair is easy. Programming is FREAKY!!!

it accepts 4gb, but 32bit (x86) systems only see 3gb.

RAM is funny, it dont always play well with other RAM... Is it possible for you to pull-out that RAM you installed. Also, confirm the type of RAM (Should be DDR2 533)

Just got the driver installed. Nope. Still the same. Thanks for trying. BTW, the RAM is two sticks of Kingston 2GB ddr2 533. It came with two 1GB's.
