The snake was lazy, stired it up a bit to get a good pose. Then it got bored of me and slithered off. But it was a good poser!

I used the 100-400. Using old 20 body. I found one thing I need to get better at with that lens for this type shooting is the focal. It certainly can stay sharp in the center but gets the blurry away from center ( minimum focus range). I got a bucket list of things I need to buy, new body is a bit down on the list.

I tried getting in close with the standard lens but though the snake was fat it was fast. I'm old and slow.
